I just noticed this CMA - Country Music Awards ad on the iTunes Store.

It looks strikingly similar to the Star Trek insignia, specifically the barred background one from Future Imperfect.

I wonder if the designers even considered that it looks a lot like the Trek logo that’s been around since the late 1960s. It’s all over their website, too.

On a related note, this might explain where the idea for Hee Haw: The Next Generation on The Critic came from.
