Everyone’s favorite eco-terrorists, Greenpeace, is having an online poll as to what to name their newest humpback whale. The choices are the usual Greenpeace fare, including Bumi, Paz, Shanti, etc. One exception is “Mister Splashy Pants,” which is “too funny to leave out.” I suppose it’s funny if you’re a 12 year old Pokemon fan. Yesterday, when I voted for Mr. Pants, he had a fairly strong lead at 39%, though today it’s over 70%. I believe /b/, Fark, BoingBoing, Digg and other sites have applied their respective masses to Mr. Pants’ success. Unfortunately, Greenpeace’s blog has been knocked offline, because I believe it had a posting about Mr. Splashy Pants.
